On Saturday, June 5, 2021 – a progress meeting was held at the Masjid Site with the Architect and Contractor.
On the Miqaat of Urus Syedi Abdul Qadir Hakimuddin (RA), a Majlis was held at the Masjid Site. Inshallah, we plan on holding many such Matam ni majalis with the Niyat that Aqa Moula (tus) graces Houston for Ashara Mubaraka and Moula (tus) Plano tashreef laawe.
Meeting Details:
The site meeting was held on June 05, 2021, at the site, and the following items were discussed:
- Glass for the windows and doors will be delivered by June 17, 2021. A few alternatives to close the openings temporarily to prevent water penetration from the openings were also discussed.
- The contractor confirmed that the electrical work will be done after the minor works of the fire sprinkler and will be finished by this Wednesday.
- Due to heavy rain past week, an assessment of damage will be done. Sheetrock of the affected areas will be changed.
- The main medallion at the front entry was discussed. The many aspects and details on structural support were also discussed.
- The door hinges will be changed to Brass. All doors will have overhead door closers.
- Kitchen Appliances will be ordered this week. This is required in order to get the CO. certificate of occupancy.
- The railing at the atrium, the installation of doors, electrical lighting work, exterior cornice work, entry plaza work are in progress.
- Polishing work for Qibla is currently being done in Makrana and is ready to be shipped.
